Prayers to the Holy One: revised poems

1.
Holy One,
fashion me like
clay into a wild
fleshing out of You,
in this place.

As one who
Serves & protects & nurtures all…
but especially the most vulnerable.
So be it!

2.
Holy One,
teach me to marvel at the Beauty,
every
day.

3.
As a child, angels
would whisper wonderful things
in my ears as I slept:
“when you seek you, will find…
when you seek outside you are just dreaming,
when you seek inside you Awaken…as a rose in bloom.”

4.
When I was a boy I was called
Clinical (by white coats)
because I used to
smile when I said that
God
told me there are 8 billion names for the divine
in the world
& I only knew a few.

5.
Poets are like monks:
Words their meditation & prayer.
one word can make a heart
break
one word can make a heart
bloom.
Choose wisely.
